Chubu Electric Power's new president, Yasui Minoru (安井 稔), visited Omaezaki, Shizuoka Prefecture, where the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station is located, on the 1st, the day he took office, and met with the mayor. Meanwhile, former president Hayashi Shingo (林 欣吾) resigned effective at the end of September over the improper seismic-design data for the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station.
