Takara Tomy has announced the new tomica VIEW series, with the first products, a scene diorama recreating a 7-Eleven and a small parking lot with a vending machine, scheduled for release on 26 December. They will be priced at ¥7,150 and ¥3,300, respectively, and feature LED lighting effects and detailed reproduction.
On 30 October, Takara Tomy announced the tomica VIEW series as a new development of its Tomica+ miniature cars. The first products, a convenience-store 7-Eleven and a small parking lot with a vending machine, will be released on 26 December.
tomica VIEW is designed to realistically recreate familiar Japanese scenes. The series was highlighted for its scene sets including roads and sidewalks, rearrangeable details, and lighting effects that recreate moments featuring Tomica vehicles and people. The LED lights use a fade-in effect to evoke the atmosphere of a city at night.
The 7-Eleven product is priced at ¥7,150 and includes interior and exterior accessories. Information was also provided on the building dimensions and battery specifications. Two types of LED lighting are used, one for the store interior and one for the internally illuminated sign, to recreate the spread of light at night.
The Small Parking Lot (with vending machine) product is priced at ¥3,300. An overview of the product dimensions and included accessories was provided, with a parking lot, sign and vending machine included. Before the release, an advance display is also scheduled at the Tomica Owners Meeting, an event for Tomica fans.
