Kyushu Railway Company and Aegis AI have entered into a capital and business alliance to develop and use the AI platform “M&A OS” for M&A support. Following demonstration testing to confirm its effectiveness, the companies aim to promote DX across operations.
Kyushu Railway Company and Aegis AI entered into a capital and business alliance agreement on 19 August 2026. The companies announced that they will develop new solutions to support M&A using generative AI and build the infrastructure needed to reduce the workload at operational sites.
The central focus of the joint development is “M&A OS.” Drawing on the practical expertise Kyushu Railway Company has developed over the years, the platform aims to automate complex business processes and improve the efficiency of specialist decision-making while making use of the results of low-code citizen development. The alliance follows a proof of concept that confirmed the technology’s usefulness.
The AI platform uses proprietary technologies including AI orchestration and could enhance cross-functional decision-making. If it can be rolled out across internal operations, it is expected to help ease the bottlenecks in business processes that are characteristic of large companies.
At the same time, the companies face implementation challenges, including ensuring the reliability of complex systems when applying them in operations, data governance and redesigning organisational structures. Attention will be needed to the risks that could arise if the system is not adequately embedded into day-to-day operations.
