Japan Business Systems explained its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2026 and its growth strategy at an IR seminar for individual investors on 15 September 2026, presenting projected net sales of ¥216.5 billion and operating profit of ¥9.1 billion, among other figures.
Japan Business Systems held an IR seminar for individual investors on 15 September 2026 and presented its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2026, including net sales of ¥216.5 billion, operating profit of ¥9.1 billion and net income of ¥7.0 billion. The company expects an operating margin of 4.2%, explaining that low-margin license resales driven by rapidly expanding demand for global licenses will push up net sales. Management characterized this as the result of strategic growth investments.
The 3 pillars of growth are cloud integration, global license procurement and AI utilization support. The company is expected to focus on proposals for large corporations drawing on its Microsoft-related expertise. Japan’s domestic cloud market is expected to expand over the next several years, and the company is said to do business with 72% of TOPIX 100 companies. Its strengths in particular include the use of Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
Under its medium-term policy, the company aims to grow through 2028 while factoring in demand for special licenses. It plans to pay a ¥50 dividend for the fiscal year ending September 2026 and award points to shareholders holding 400 shares or more, with benefits equivalent to ¥100,000 annually for holdings of 4,000 shares or more. It also explained a talent development initiative under which all employees will receive licenses for advanced AI tools.
In the Q&A session, cloud migration support and AI utilization support were described as the company’s “two engines,” with the global business identified as the primary growth driver over the next 3 years. M&A is viewed positively, particularly in application development and AI. Although some projects have been delayed because of surging memory prices, management said that no companies are halting their IT investments and indicated that demand for AI utilization remains strong.
