On 5 October 2026, Starseeds entered into a basic contract with Kaga Electronics covering the contract manufacturing of GPU servers and other products. Production will use a domestic EMS factory, with mass production targeted to begin by 31 December 2026.
Under the contract, Kaga Electronics will handle everything from materials management through manufacturing, assembly, inspection, packaging and shipment. Starseeds will bear the factory renovation costs. Starseeds will purchase the manufacturing equipment and lease it to Kaga Electronics free of charge, while retaining ownership.
Starseeds explained that demand for equipment for the high-performance server market remains firm. In light of the current reliance on overseas production, it launched a project to consider domestic EMS factories, continued discussions with Kaga Electronics from April 2026 onward, and proceeded with selecting candidate factory sites.
The terms, including prices, volumes and delivery dates, will be determined in a basic contract for contract manufacturing. Over the medium to long term, the parties aim to stabilize supply by establishing multiple domestic sites and shortening delivery times.
