Motorola Japan has officially announced the new Android smartphone for the Japanese market, “motorola edge 70 fusion.” It is priced at ¥79,800 including tax and is scheduled to launch on 23 October 2026. Preorders will begin on the same day, and the carrier model will also be offered by Rakuten Mobile.

The design uses colors supervised by PANTONE. The device measures approximately 162.76 × 75.60 × 7.99mm and weighs approximately 193g. Its front and back are connected by a four-sided curved design. It partially complies with MIL-STD-810H for impact resistance and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for the display. It also offers water- and dust-resistance equivalent to IP68/IP69, providing protection against submersion and sand and dust.
The display is an approximately 6.78-inch Super HD Extreme AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2772 × 1272, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, peak brightness of 5,200 nits, and 10-bit color with support for DCI-P3 and HDR10+. It offers Pantone Validated color reproduction and supports Water Touch. Other features include Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, while there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
The processor is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. The device has 12GB of RAM, equivalent to up to 24GB when used with RAM Boost, and 256GB of internal storage. microSD cards are not supported. The rear camera setup comprises an approximately 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony LYTIA 710 sensor and OIS, plus an approximately 13-megapixel ultrawide/macro camera. The front camera has approximately 32 megapixels, and all cameras support 4K video recording.
The battery has a capacity of 7,000mAh and supports 68W TurboPower fast charging. It is rated to last approximately 2 days under typical use. Wireless charging is not supported.
Other specifications include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C, fingerprint and facial recognition, dual SIM support (nanoSIM + eSIM), NFC/FeliCa, Osaifu-Keitai, Water Touch, Dolby Atmos, stereo speakers, and NFC/FeliCa support.
