Fujishoji has announced its new Smart Slot machine, The Witch and the Beast. The official release was announced on 16 October as an Orange-manufactured cabinet. Hall rollout is scheduled to begin on 21 December.
The machine is based on the manga of the same name by Satake Yukinori (佐竹幸典) and is a tie-in machine for the dark fantasy work The Witch and the Beast. It depicts the revenge story of Guideau, a girl cursed by a witch, and Ashaf, a mysterious man.
In terms of specifications, the standard ST continues for 7G with an approximately 70% continuation rate, while the BONUS payout ranges from 150 to 3,000 coins. The advanced ST, BEAST MODE, has an approximately 80% continuation rate, with BONUS payouts ranging from 300 to 3,000 coins. The appearance rate of the SPECIAL BEAST BONUS is approximately equal to that of the standard BONUS.
During normal play, the reel-lock system can trigger entry into the CZ, and reaching the third stage may trigger a long freeze. A Challenge BONUS provides access to the advanced ST via the CZ, while defeating Matt Cougar after the battle leads to entry into the advanced ST.
