The outbound track of the Meitetsu Seto Line has begun elevated operation, and level crossings are being removed and surrounding roads improved along an approximately 1.9-kilometre section. The temporary outbound track will subsequently be removed, and the intersecting roads and side roads are scheduled to be improved.
Elevated operation of the outbound track of the Meitetsu Seto Line, toward Owari-Seto, began on 26 July 2025 between Obata Station and Omori-Kinjogakuin-mae Station. As part of this work, the outbound track is being elevated at 9 of the existing level crossings, 1 of which has already been removed.
The temporary outbound track will subsequently be removed, followed by improvements to the intersecting roads and side roads.
The project involves elevating an approximately 1.9-kilometre section and improving 12 intersecting roads, including National Route 302 and the Moriyama Hondori Urban Planning Road, and 4 side roads between 2-chome Obataminami and 2-chome Omori, Moriyama-ku. The project aims to improve the flow of road traffic, eliminate level-crossing accidents and remove the division of the local community.
