This example shows how カーステーションマルシェ fitted an HKS GTIII-RS turbocharger to a Subaru WRX STI S207, based on the S207, to boost mid-range torque and acceleration. It also introduces the 412-ps performance achieved by converting a BP5 Legacy Touring Wagon to 2.2L.
Based on the rare Subaru WRX STI “S207,” カーステーションマルシェ, known for its serious tuning work, adopted a modification plan centered on HKS's GTIII-RS turbocharger. The GTIII-RS kit is a bolt-on model that uses the stock exhaust manifold, and is described as offering excellent value for money.
The vehicle combines the GTIII-RS turbocharger with a completely stock EJ20. Together with Marche's ECU tuning, this raised output to 388 ps / 56.2 kgm. An HKS Super Turbo Muffler Ti was fitted to the exhaust, combining inspection-compliant capacity with quiet operation.
Testing on a high-speed circuit recorded a top speed of 255.59 km/h in fifth gear at 6,400 rpm. The 0–180 km/h acceleration time was 15.24 seconds, compared with 19.38 seconds for a standard WRX STI, with the stronger torque delivering a substantial improvement in acceleration. The owner highly rated the torque feel across the rev range.
The article also notes the car's potential to approach 400 ps with upgrades to the fuel system. As a tuned S207 with room for further development, it is presented as a standout example of Marche's approach, backed by its expertise with the EJ20.
In a separate section, the article also introduces a 2.2L conversion of a BP5 Legacy Touring Wagon. In that example, an EJ20 from a GRB was converted to 2.2L and combined with a GT2835 turbocharger to produce 412 ps.
