An event co-hosted by Lingble and DG Daiwa Ventures on creating global brands in Japan’s textile and materials industries will be held at the Shibuya PARCODG Building on 30 September 2026. Discussions will cover brand strategies originating in regional areas and the use of AI, with attendance subject to an approval-based registration process.
Lingble and DG Daiwa Ventures will hold “Material Matters: The Moment Japanese Materials Become Global Brands,” an event focused on enabling Japan’s textile and materials industries to expand directly into global markets. The organizers are Lingble Pte. Ltd. and DG Daiwa Ventures, with Senken Shimbun Co., Ltd. serving as a supporting organization. Against a backdrop of major changes facing Japan’s materials industry, including a shrinking domestic market and labor shortages, the event will explore AI-driven brand building and approaches to global expansion.
The event will be held on 30 September 2026 (Wednesday) on the 18th floor of the Shibuya PARCODG Building. Admission is free, and attendance requires approval-based registration through the dedicated event page. The program will include a keynote address, panel discussion, fireside chat and networking. Scheduled speakers include industry professionals such as Lingble’s Harada Mahoto (原田真帆人).
The conference will address topics including how regional companies can grow into global brands with revenue of around ¥10 billion, transformation scenarios for the materials industry to generate foreign-currency revenue, and how AI is changing brand building. The talk sessions are expected to cover ways to develop manufacturing companies originating in regional areas into global brands, as well as examples of AI use and global trends.
