NISSHA ゾンネボード製薬 has begun construction of a new pharmaceutical production building within its Hachioji Head Office Plant in Hachioji, Tokyo. The new building will have four above-ground floors and a total floor area of 1,769 sq. m. Construction began in June 2026, with completion scheduled for around June 2027 and operations expected to begin around November of the same year.
NISSHA ゾンネボード製薬 has decided to build a new production building within its Hachioji Head Office Plant in Hachioji, Tokyo, expanding manufacturing capacity to fully develop its contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) business for pharmaceuticals.
The new production building will have four above-ground floors and a total floor area of 1,769 sq. m. Construction will begin in June 2026, with completion expected around June 2027 and operations scheduled to begin around November of the same year.
Once operational, the building is expected to have a theoretical annual production capacity of approximately 500 million tablets and 100 tons of powders. In addition to maintaining quality control and a stable supply of its own-brand products, the company plans to respond to demand by fully developing its CDMO business.
The company has indicated that it will use the new facility to meet the diverse needs of pharmaceutical companies while pursuing further business expansion.
