TEAC raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the current fiscal year, increasing full-year net profit from the previous forecast of ¥300 million to ¥500 million. Second-quarter results showed a return to profitability, while higher costs and the recognition of a refund were cited as factors contributing to earnings.
On 6 November, TEAC announced that under IFRS it had raised its consolidated net profit forecast for the current fiscal year from the previous forecast of ¥300 million to ¥500 million, an upward revision of 66.7%. The full-year forecast was raised following a shift from a loss to a profit compared with the previous fiscal year.
According to the first-half results announced at the same time, consolidated net profit for July–September was ¥410 million, 6.7 times the year-earlier level, while revenue and the operating profit margin also improved.
TEAC explained that the reasons for the earnings revision included higher costs expected as a result of soaring raw material prices, strong performance in the professional audio equipment business (TASCAM) and the information equipment segment during the interim consolidated accounting period, and the recognition of a refund related to US tariff measures.
The new forecast for the current fiscal year includes revenue of ¥16,000 million, operating profit of ¥700 million, ordinary profit of ¥550 million, net profit of ¥500 million and revised earnings per share of ¥17.4. The announcement date was 6 November 2026. The previous forecast was revenue of ¥16,000 million, operating profit of ¥500 million, ordinary profit of ¥350 million, net profit of ¥300 million and revised earnings per share of ¥10.4.
