Plat'Home raised its first-half ordinary profit forecast threefold and also increased its full-year profit forecast. Ordinary profit for the second quarter cumulative period (April-September) is expected to exceed the previous forecast, while the full-year forecast is also expected to be raised substantially.
Plat'Home announced a revision to its earnings forecast on the morning of 30 October, raising its first-half (April-September) consolidated ordinary profit forecast threefold, from ¥34 million to ¥102 million. The figure was ¥18 million in the same period of the previous year.
As a result, the first-half profit growth rate is expected to expand from 88.9% to 5.7 times, while the full-year consolidated ordinary profit forecast was raised by 38.2%, from the previous forecast of ¥55 million to ¥76 million. The figure was ¥26 million in the previous fiscal year.
The company cited progress in its business transformation aimed at realizing a free and secure connected world, as well as improved earnings from the commercialization of its Web3 business, as reasons for the revision. Cost controls and changes to its investment policy from the second half onward may also have had an impact.
