The final venue for “Initial D Art Exhibition by GAAAT” will open at Tokiwa Hall in Shibukawa, Gunma. Over 2 days, metal canvas art based on the machines and mountain passes from the original work will be displayed and sold.
As the final venue for the exhibition, which has toured Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Yokohama, the event will be held in Shibukawa, Gunma. It will run for 2 days, on 17 and 18 October 2026, from 10:00 to 17:30, at Tokiwa Hall on the 3rd floor of Hototogisu Station on the Shibukawa Municipal Ikaho Ropeway. The exhibition and sales will feature Metal Canvas Art based on Initial D machines and characters, as well as mountain-pass races.
Works of Metal Canvas Art known by titles such as “AE86×FC3S-Akina Mountain” will be displayed, including works featuring Fujiwara Takumi (藤原拓海)'s AE86 Trueno and FC3S, as well as mountain-pass racing tactics. The works combine metal materials with three-dimensional expression to create a distinctive visual world in which fans can experience the atmosphere of the series.
GAAAT's Metal Canvas Art combines hand-finishing by artisans with technology that recreates digital data by dividing it into 32 layers, achieving both durability and beauty. The works will be displayed and sold during the exhibition, whose content is distinguished by its use of Shibukawa and surrounding Initial D-related locations as a backdrop.
