東ソー物流 has digitized transport arrangements through MOVO Vista and warehouse entry through MOVO Berth. Requests from partner carriers were digitized, bringing loading wait times close to zero while reducing paper use and overtime. Collaboration with ロンシール工業 is also being strengthened.
東ソー物流 has been digitizing delivery requests and introducing dock reservations, primarily at its Ibaraki Sales Office. Transport arrangements are completed through MOVO Vista, and requests to partner carriers have been digitized without using paper or fax. This has reduced the effort required for data entry and facilitated the flow of information through to reservation scheduling. On-site staff can check reservation status on tablet devices, making it possible to determine in advance when vehicles are due to arrive.
The introduction of MOVO Vista eliminated fax use and reduced paper consumption by approximately 400 sheets per month. Through the use of MOVO Berth, loading wait times were reduced to nearly zero, a significant improvement from the previous situation, in which many vehicles waited more than 2 hours. Warehouse staff can now prepare in advance for vehicle arrivals, contributing to reduced overtime. Driver call-ups have also shifted from telephone calls to tablet notifications.
The transition among partner carriers has progressed smoothly, with fax used alongside the new system during the initial phase. Detailed guidance for older drivers also helped establish the new procedures. Going forward, the company plans to expand the digitization of delivery requests to partner carriers and pursue a company-wide move away from fax, while also considering the rollout of MOVO Berth at other sites. ロンシール工業 highly values the deeper insights enabled by digitizing transport arrangements and visualizing data, as well as the environmental and labor improvements achieved by eliminating loading waits. The company also expects that further data sharing between the two companies will enable the use of logistics big data.
