Tokei Computer Systems will hold an online procurement and logistics seminar with Brother Sales on 29 September to improve communication errors with suppliers and overseas inspection facilities.
Tokei Computer Systems (Nakahara-ku, Kawasaki) will hold an online seminar with Brother Sales on improving procurement and logistics on 29 September from 14:00, aimed at eliminating the telephone-game effect in communications with suppliers and overseas inspection facilities. The event will address issues such as delivery-date uncertainty, idle time at worksites and trucks waiting, all caused by communication systems centred on telephone calls and email, and will introduce examples linked to operational efficiency.
The seminar will address how separate inventory information between e-commerce and stores causes missed sales opportunities and excess inventory, and will introduce improvement examples combining Brother Sales' label printers and terminals with Tokei Computer Systems' systems. In particular, it will explain the sharing of supplier information and procurement progress, as well as forecasts for future inventory, using the procurement management system "ITEM".
It will also explain practical operating examples using the apparel-focused WMS "CLOWS" and the RFID system "RFIT", including integrating e-commerce and store inventory, reducing labour required for inspections and stocktaking, and issuing SCM labels and packing slips at overseas inspection facilities and domestic warehouses. The seminar is expected to focus on methods of strengthening system integration.
The event will be held online via Teams from 14:00 to 15:00 on 29 September, and participation is free. Survey respondents will receive presentation materials, while readers seeking further updates have been told that additional coverage may be provided.
