Mitsubishi Corporation and Medipal Holdings have entered into a new comprehensive business partnership covering healthcare, food and daily necessities. They will also revise their ownership stakes in MC Healthcare Holdings to 50:50.
Mitsubishi Corporation and Medipal Holdings announced that they have entered into a new business partnership agreement to promote comprehensive collaboration in the healthcare, food and daily necessities sectors. The companies also plan to change their ownership ratio in MC Healthcare Holdings from 80:20 to 50:50, strengthening the company as joint management partners.
Building on their comprehensive business partnership in healthcare established in 2005, the companies will expand the scope of their collaboration beyond healthcare to include food and daily necessities. They aim to optimize the end-to-end process from procurement and logistics through to operational support, and create value across areas including pharmaceutical support, self-care, preventive and pre-symptomatic services, healthcare data utilization, and health support through food.
The companies will also combine Mitsubishi Corporation’s global network with the Medipal Group’s distribution network and established relationships with medical institutions to expand MC Healthcare Holdings’ customer base from large hospitals to small and medium-sized hospitals and clinics. They will work to ensure a stable supply of regional healthcare infrastructure and improve management efficiency by leveraging their pharmaceutical expertise and logistics capabilities.
In addition, the companies will accelerate the expansion of logistics collaboration between Mitsubishi Shokuhin and PALTEC, as well as the development of new businesses and the creation of investment opportunities. They will also promote mutual understanding and human resources development through personnel exchanges, further strengthening their collaboration.
