A サイバートラスト employee has been newly appointed to the board of The AlmaLinux OS Foundation. Ikeda Munehiro (池田宗広) and Tristan Theroux were elected, making Ikeda the only Japanese board member as of October 2026.
サイバートラスト announced that its employee Ikeda Munehiro (池田宗広) had been appointed to the board of The AlmaLinux OS Foundation. Tristan Theroux was also elected to the Foundation's board, filling the 2 seats available through the open call.
The AlmaLinux OS Foundation is a nonprofit organization that owns assets related to AlmaLinux OS and determines and publishes its development policies through its board of directors. Following this appointment, Ikeda became the second サイバートラスト employee to serve on the board after Yoshida Jun (吉田淳), whose service began in 2023. He is currently the only Japanese member among the 8 board members.
Ikeda's experience as an LF Japan evangelist and leader of the OpenSSF Japan community was highly valued for its potential contribution to the sustained growth and development of AlmaLinux OS. Benny Vasquez, Chair of The AlmaLinux OS Foundation, welcomed the participation of both individuals and emphasized the importance of community governance.
