Episode 7 of the Yamada Ryosuke (山田涼介)-led drama series “One-Dimensional Cuttings” aired on 16 August, and comments from Yamada and Kasahara Hideyuki (笠原秀幸) looking back on the episode, along with stills and a synopsis for Episode 8, were released.
Episode 7 aired on 16 August and explored the mysteries surrounding the relationship between Yu and Yui, as well as the connection between Jumoku no Kai (樹木の会) and 日江製薬, culminating in the emergence of another victim.
Nanase Yu (七瀬悠) was drawn into the mystery of his stepsister Shiyo’s (紫陽) DNA matching human remains dating back 200 years, while Kashima Tsuyoshi (香島強) was shown to be involved in acquisition negotiations and information gathering as an employee of the Japan branch.
In comments looking back on Episode 7, the data-related maneuvering between Yu and Kashima was highlighted, and it was said that although the atmosphere on set was tense, their interactions kept it lively.
The synopsis for Episode 8 depicts a proposal for a new exchange of information, the discovery of a betrayal and the emergence of another victim. Stills from the episode were also released.
