Shimizu Corporation has developed Hub360, an emergency support system for acute-care hospitals, and begun offering it as a cloud service. The system provides a real-time view of available beds, staff, medical equipment status and treatment information within the hospital. It also includes a disaster mode to support safety checks and monitoring of operating status during disasters.
Shimizu Corporation announced that it had developed Hub360, an operational system supporting emergency response at acute-care hospitals, and began offering it as a cloud service. NTT DATA cooperated in the development, and the system is said to be the first of its kind in Japan.
Hub360 provides a real-time view of available beds, staff, medical equipment status and the treatment information required by patients. In normal times, it speeds up decisions on accepting patients. During disasters, its disaster mode enables safety checks for staff and monitoring of the medical resources that can remain operational.
The system has undergone approximately 4 years of performance testing. Multiple medical institutions, including Hitoyoshi Medical Center in Hitoyoshi, are considering or planning to adopt it.
Shimizu Corporation is targeting acute-care hospitals that accept more than 2,500 emergency patient transfers annually and aims to secure 50 orders by fiscal 2030.
