The SVT Index rose 141.1 points from the previous day to 13,675.0 points on 20 October, increasing the total market capitalisation of its constituent stocks. Most of the 31 constituents rose, pushing up the index as a whole.
TENTIAL, which operates a recovery-wear brand, saw its share price fall 36.44% over the 3 trading days from 15 October. The shares fell 6.97% the previous day, recording the largest decline in the index for 3 consecutive days.
On the same day, Fast Retailing announced that it would raise the prices of some products at Uniqlo stores in Japan. The company plans to raise prices on 11 products in November, and its shares rose 2.04% from the previous day. Some observers have also pointed out that, following the announcement of the full-year results for the fiscal year ended August, market participants increasingly viewed the results as having exhausted the available catalysts.
In the SVT Index decline rankings, TENTIAL was first, followed by yutori, Seiko Group, MTG and Citizen Watch. Fast Retailing ranked first in index contribution, adding 118.07 points, one of the largest contributions.
