A visit to Aica Kogyo’s Tokyo Showroom found its main products, melamine decorative laminates and textured wall coatings, displayed across a space of approximately 600 m2. The report also covers examples of how the products are used and the design qualities that create a premium look.
As part of this series of visits to showrooms operated by manufacturers of housing equipment and building materials, Aica Kogyo’s Tokyo Showroom was introduced. Its main products, including melamine decorative laminates and textured wall coatings, are displayed in settings that closely resemble actual spaces. The exhibition area is a spacious approximately 600 m2, and the visit focuses on the appeal of materials that can be used on furniture surfaces and to create interior designs.
The melamine decorative laminates are divided into furniture-oriented and noncombustible types. Their resistance to scratches, heat and water, along with their ease of cleaning, is highlighted for everyday usability and practicality. They can also reproduce realistic designs resembling wood and stone, and are expected to be used in a wide range of settings, from commercial facilities to homes.
Jolypate textured wall coatings, meanwhile, are widely used on exterior walls, entrances and accent walls indoors, with a broad range of patterns and colors used to create a premium look. A specification with enhanced crack resistance was also introduced as a feature, and positioned as a useful element in design proposals at the showroom.
