Nippon Electric Glass Co.,Ltd. received the Konju Hosho Medal, and a conferment ceremony was held at The University of Shiga Prefecture. The ceremony recognised the company's achievements, and plans were announced to use the donation effectively in establishing an endowed course.
The University of Shiga Prefecture was pleased to announce that the Konju Hosho Medal had been conferred on Nippon Electric Glass Co.,Ltd. and that a conferment ceremony had been held at the university on 24 September 2026.
The ceremony was attended by the company's representative director and president and other participants, while the university was represented by Chairperson Ide and others. Chairperson Ide presented the certificate of commendation and expressed the university's gratitude.
A message from Shiga Governor Mikazuki was read out, expressing gratitude on behalf of the establishing organization and recognising the achievements behind the award.
The donation is scheduled to be used to establish an endowed course in glass manufacturing process engineering, and its future use was explained.
