US-based GlobalFoundries opened an AI-enabled Advanced Facilities Control Center (AFCC) in Singapore and announced the initial steps toward supporting factory operations worldwide through predictive maintenance of facilities, developed jointly with Siemens. The plan calls for integrating the control centers of five Singapore factories as the first phase.
GlobalFoundries opened an AI-enabled Advanced Facilities Control Center (AFCC) in Singapore. Developed jointly with Siemens, the center is intended to support operations across the global manufacturing network through predictive maintenance of facilities.
The AFCC consolidates factory facilities-monitoring data and operating metrics on a single platform. As the first phase, it will integrate the control centers of five factories in Singapore and provide AI capabilities including predictive maintenance, monitoring and data visualization.
