Nationwide Washington Hotel is collaborating with 桃屋's “Gohan Desuyo!” to mark its 50th anniversary. The breakfast offering features 16 collaboration menu items, with a variety of initiatives including collaboration rooms and a special website providing seasonal food experiences.
Washington Hotel is running a collaboration with “Gohan Desuyo!” at all 27 hotels in its group. The initiative, undertaken with 桃屋 to mark the 50th anniversary of the hotel's opening, aims to provide new experiences for both brand fans and travelers.
At breakfast, participating hotels offer several items from a selection of 16 collaboration dishes available exclusively at WHG Hotels, comprising Washington Hotel and Hotel Gracery properties. Menu development took approximately 1 month, with various novel combinations tested before the final selection was made after tasting by 桃屋's president and spouse.
As part of the collaboration, a special guest room recreating the concept “A Room You Can Always Return to Those Showa Days” is available. The Showa-era-style space, including murals, dagashi sweets and toys, was hand-painted from scratch and can also be enjoyed as a photogenic photo spot.
The collaboration also included a comparative tasting of nori tsukudani products and a breakfast recipe contest. Winning recipes from the open call were scheduled to be served at the hotels from 1 October to 27 December 2023.
The collaboration period and conditions were as follows: the “A Room You Can Always Return to Those Days” plan was available through checkout on 20 December 2023, while plans including “Gohan Desuyo!” and the original breakfast recipes were available through 27 December of the same year.
