At New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Ryogoku event, founder Antonio Inoki (アントニオ猪木) was shown using AI technology and delivered a voice message about events from next year onward. Plans related to next year’s 55th anniversary and the Tokyo Dome event schedule were mentioned. Together with the actual matches, the presentation suggested a passing of the torch to a new generation.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling held G1 CLIMAX 36 at Ryogoku Kokugikan and announced that its 2027 Tokyo Dome event would be held to mark the 55th anniversary of its founding. At the same time, the Tokyo Dome event was named 「闘魂55年 WRESTLE KINGDOM 21」.
AI Antonio Inoki (アントニオ猪木), brought to life using AI technology, was shown on the venue screen and sent a voice-video message supporting New Japan Pro-Wrestling next year. Inoki also referred to the discussion surrounding Tenzan Hiroyoshi’s (天山広吉) retirement and praised the wrestlers for their performances.
The AI Inoki video included the statement, “If I have the energy, I can also come to New Japan’s G1,” expressing an intention to build momentum toward next year’s 55th anniversary. It was also announced that events related to next year’s 55th anniversary would continue through the 2028 Tokyo Dome event.
