“Section L Kumamoto” is scheduled to open in the Shimotoori area of Kumamoto City as the first Section L-branded property in Kyushu. The 66-room hotel will cater to medium- and long-term stays, with connecting rooms and a residents-only gym. Opening is scheduled for spring 2028.
Tokyo Tatemono Co.,Ltd. and 西日本新聞ビルディング will jointly develop “Section L Kumamoto” in Kumamoto City, with WBC as the tenant and Eave Hospitality as the operator. The brand’s first entry into Kyushu is targeted to open around spring 2028.
The hotel will be located in the Shimotoori area in central Kumamoto, with convenient access to tourist destinations and transport. All rooms will have kitchens to accommodate medium- and long-term stays, and the design will allow rooms to be used as connecting rooms for group stays.
The hotel will have 66 rooms: 26 twins, 35 doubles, 4 suites and 1 universal room. Facilities will include a fitness gym and lounge, and the property will be a 12-story above-ground steel-frame structure. Construction is scheduled to begin on 7 August 2026, with completion and opening planned for around spring 2028.
The four joint project partners are Tokyo Tatemono Co.,Ltd., 西日本新聞ビルディング, ワールド・ブランズ・コレクション ホテルズ&リゾーツ株式会社 and Eave Hospitality. A&S System will handle design and supervision, 光進建設 will handle construction, and East Architects will handle interior design.
