A milk-carton-size storage kit has been launched at new prices and in new sizes to reduce the administrative workload in childcare settings. It is lightweight kraft material designed to combine easy assembly with the ability to decorate the finished product.
SENSHUKAI CO.,LTD. launched “Craft Smile Milk-Carton-Size Storage” on 15 January 2024 at new prices and in new sizes through Egao no Sensei, its childcare mail-order catalog. The product was conceived to reduce the workload involved in preparing nurseries for the new school year, with feedback from childcare professionals reflected in its design.
Features include lightweight paper-based kraft material, consideration for children with milk allergies, recyclable disposal and ease of decoration after assembly. The number of compartments is designed around facility capacity, allowing users to choose a quantity suited to “our class.”
The product is designed to be less likely to break if dropped by a child, reducing the risk of injury, while easing the workload without losing the warmth of handmade items. Practical experience in childcare settings informed the product concept, which aims to combine a handmade feel with practicality.
Looking ahead, the company is expected to continue considering expanded color options and a broader product line in response to requests based on feedback from childcare settings. SENSHUKAI CO.,LTD. is developing the products as a series aimed at improving working environments in childcare and educational settings.
