一般社団法人日本ドローンビジネスサポート協会 will launch an instructor training program ahead of the nationwide rollout of its disaster preparedness and mitigation curriculum, “Drone School 5.0.” The first stage is instructor development through practical training.
DBA will launch a program on 1 August 2026 to train instructors for its “Drone School 5.0” disaster preparedness and mitigation curriculum, with the aim of rolling it out nationwide for disaster relief applications. The organization says it is preparing for the nationwide rollout, including instructor development, based on its experience at disaster sites on the Noto Peninsula.
The objective of 5.0 is to develop personnel who can function effectively during disasters. It covers 4 areas: information gathering, situation assessment, transporting supplies, and disseminating information. The organization explains that building practical capabilities, in addition to flight skills, is essential.
The instructor training program consists of 2 stages. Participants must first complete practical training before proceeding to the second-stage instructor course. The program starts on 1 August 2026 and is open to people with practical experience in disaster response and others. Applications are accepted year-round on an ongoing basis.
The next practical training session, “Hashirajima Training 2026,” will be held over 3 days and 2 nights from 15 to 17 September 2026 on Hashirajima in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Details announced include a capacity of 9 participants and a participation fee of ¥1.1 million for a 3-person team, or ¥110,000 for an individual participant.
