HOCHIKI CORPORATION added the new Overview feature to its HCKaaS disaster-prevention cloud service for facilities with multiple buildings. The feature visualizes fire locations on a site map, enabling facility managers and security personnel to respond more quickly in the initial stages of an incident.
HOCHIKI CORPORATION announced that it had added the Overview feature, which enables centralized management of multiple buildings, to its HOCHIKI as a Service (HCKaaS) disaster-prevention cloud service. The feature is intended for facilities with multiple buildings, including universities and factories as well as logistics facilities and warehouses, and displays the location of a fire on a site map.
The Overview feature centrally manages information from fire alarm receivers installed in each building in the cloud and notifies relevant parties by SMS or email. In addition to disaster-prevention centers, security personnel on patrol and managers at remote locations can check the map on their smartphones, allowing them to identify more quickly which building the fire occurred in.
The company said the feature also supports existing fire alarm receivers and can be introduced without major equipment upgrades. It can integrate with other business systems and building operating systems via a cloud API and is also expected to support business continuity planning measures.
