Osaka-based 近畿製粉 has made capital investment one of its priority initiatives for the current fiscal year and is building the foundation for a company that aims to continue for another 200 years. Its largest investment is expected to go toward silos and other facilities at its own plant in Izumisano City.
近畿製粉, which has supported the flour-based food culture known as “konamon” mainly in the Kansai region, has positioned capital investment as one of its key management priorities for the current fiscal year. In line with the 3 management principles set out by President Fujimoto Yukiru (藤本幸瑠), “colleagues' smiles and growth,” “providing safe and reliable food” and “creating a workplace environment connected to the future,” the company is also advancing measures to improve employee health and create a more comfortable working environment.
The largest of this fiscal year's capital investments is believed to be the development of silo facilities at the company's own plant in Izumisano City, which is expected to strengthen its long-term production system. The stated aim is to ensure stable supplies and improve quality control.
近畿製粉 has indicated that it will expand investment in people as it works toward realizing a “company that will continue for another 200 years,” and is expected to create an environment that contributes to the health and well-being of each employee. Enhancing training and employee benefits beyond capital investment has also been cited as a future initiative.
