Mitsubishi Estate Group has grand-opened “晶耀虹橋 (Crystal Bridge),” an office development in Changning District, Shanghai, China. An event was held on 30 October 2026, and multiple Japanese companies have moved in and begun operations.
The 晶耀虹橋 project, jointly developed by Mitsubishi Estate, Tishman Speyer and New Changning Group, has grand-opened in Shanghai. The event was held on 30 October 2026 and included a tug-of-war competition aimed at encouraging interaction among tenant companies and workers.
The project is located in central Shanghai in a prime location directly connected to Loushanguan Road subway station, and was developed as a large-scale mixed-use complex comprising 5 buildings. Total floor area is 246,350 m² and total project cost is approximately ¥188 billion, with offices and retail facilities above ground and parking and retail facilities underground. NBBJ handled design, CBRE operations, and Mitsubishi Jisho Sekkei Consulting landscaping and related work.
Approximately 80% of the leasable building T1 has been committed, with Japanese companies accounting for approximately 80%. The project also includes the condominium buildings T3, T5 and T6, with T5 fully contracted. Approximately 400 Japanese companies are concentrated in the surrounding area, and the project has obtained LEED Gold certification, emphasizing greenery and environmental considerations.
The commercial component is expected to comprise approximately 80 stores, with a diverse tenant mix centered on Japanese restaurants to improve convenience for workers. Community-building through events such as the tug-of-war competition and the rollout in Shanghai of urban development expertise cultivated in Marunouchi are also under way.
