SDS, the SWCC group’s electric wire trading company, announced that it had signed an exclusive Japanese distributor agreement with Bangkok Magnet Wire (BMC), a leading Thai magnet wire manufacturer. It will begin exclusive sales of heat-resistant magnet wire for motors and transformers in October.
The products covered by the agreement include the AIW, AM200A, EIAIW and PEWY series, which offer high electrical conductivity and heat resistance and are designed for use in transformers, inverter-driven motors and high-voltage surge environments.
SDS aims to expand sales in its general-purpose magnet wire business to ¥6 billion, or 2.4 times fiscal 2025 sales, by expanding its product lineup. It will use sales channels including the “Kaeruya” e-commerce site to establish a structure capable of meeting customers’ diverse needs.
In addition to domestic products, SDS signed an exclusive Japanese distributor agreement with Vietnam’s SACOM last November. It announced plans to strengthen its ability to handle custom-made and heat-resistant products. It is also consolidating its logistics operations in Adachi Ward and strengthening inventory management.
