NEC announced that it will begin sales in September of the “NEC SCM AI Agent,” an agent for supply chain management that automatically executes operations across multiple systems. The agent automatically performs demand forecasting, procurement negotiations and production planning optimization, supporting reductions in manual work and improvements in decision quality. In conjunction with an AI platform service, it combines machine learning with NEC’s proprietary AI to deliver numerical forecasting and optimization.
NEC is targeting implementation at 100 companies over the next 5 years. Annual fees start at ¥18 million and vary according to data volume and functionality, while initial costs are charged separately. The product will be exhibited at the 17th International Logistics Exhibition 2026, which will be held from 8 to 11 September 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight.
