On the Links established the Hiroshima AI Assurance Council and announced its formal participation in the Partners' Community and its official listing by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. It also plans to advance development of the HAAP framework and publish initial results covering the pharmaceutical cold chain.
On the Links established the Hiroshima AI Assurance Council on 8 October and announced its operating policy. A Hiroshima-based company serves as the council's representing organisation, and the council aims to share practical knowledge on implementing AI assurance.
The council formally joined the Partners' Community of the Hiroshima AI Process Friends Group and was listed as a participating organisation on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' official page dated 10 September 2026.
The council aims to develop HAAP, a common framework linking pre-adoption checks for AI decisions with post-adoption tracking, and to develop a common protocol based on demonstration results from the manufacturing and logistics sectors into a global standard.
Its implementation approach is to translate the principles of the Hiroshima AI Process into operational conditions, evidence and verification procedures, and connect them to existing AI and business systems. HAAP is not intended to replace specific products, but to retain the conditions and evidence underlying decisions in a form that can be verified by third parties. The initial scope is handover decisions in the 2–8°C pharmaceutical cold chain.
