AUCNET donated 3 used EVs to GBNet Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, through the corporate hometown tax donation program. The donation was made at Nishitetsu Grand Hotel on 22 October 2026, with the aim of collecting data and promoting the conversion of public vehicles to EVs.
AUCNET, a circular market design company, donated 3 used EVs through the corporate hometown tax donation program as part of Green EV Battery Network Fukuoka (GBNet Fukuoka), an initiative promoted by Fukuoka Prefecture. The donation ceremony was held at Nishitetsu Grand Hotel on 22 October 2026.
Data collection terminals will be installed in the donated vehicles to conduct a demonstration project collecting and accumulating real-time data during public-service operations. The project will continuously track driving conditions, charging and discharging frequency, and changes in SoH, while also validating criteria for decisions on secondary use.
GBNet Fukuoka is a public-private collaboration platform through which local governments and companies aim to collect, reuse, recycle, and remanufacture EV batteries. AUCNET aims to help create a regional circular society by sharing and using its data and expertise in the project.
The initiative is intended to create, through public-private collaboration, examples of the effective use of used EVs as part of efforts to promote decarbonisation through the conversion of public vehicles to EVs.
