IP mixer, a wholly owned subsidiary of MicroAd, launched a pop-up in Japan featuring collaborative products with The National Gallery, London, and VTuber Raden. Approximately 300 visitors attended on the first day, and collaborative products including rollerball pens sold out.
IP mixer launched a collaboration based on masterpieces held by The National Gallery, London, and held a pop-up sale from 3 to 12 October at the event space on the 8th floor of Yurakucho Marui. Products included fragrance mists supervised by Raden, tableware, tote bags, scarves and rollerball pens. Some products were also sold that day through Marui’s online store.
On the first day, numbered tickets for timed entry were distributed by reservation from 11:00 a.m. Distribution ended after approximately 3 days. Approximately 300 people visited on the first day. Life-size panels featuring newly drawn collaborative visuals were displayed, along with an audio guide introducing the masterpieces narrated by Raden, who holds a curator qualification. Both the exhibition and sales were well received. The rollerball pens sold out immediately.
IP mixer also held a pop-up from 19 to 30 June at TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Taipei Nangang Store in Taiwan. No merchandise was sold on-site in Taiwan; instead, product samples were displayed and customers could place online pre-orders via QR codes.
The company is advancing IP collaborations under its own direction by leveraging its expertise in overseas data marketing and local offices. It handles the process centrally, from licensing and product planning through sales promotion, public relations and pop-up operations, while respecting the rights holders’ intentions and pursuing overseas expansion with controlled risk.
