Thermo Fisher Scientific revised its earnings forecast upward. Improved margins across all business segments, 9-month free cash flow of $4.62 billion, $4 billion in share repurchases and $8.88 billion in acquisitions provided financial support.
Thermo Fisher Scientific has reportedly raised its recent earnings forecast, with information indicating that profit margins improved in all 4 business segments. As a result, free cash flow for the 9-month period reached $4.62 billion, funding $4 billion in share repurchases and $8.88 billion in acquisitions.
Past comments on the portfolio transition have cited the completed sale of the microbiology business and the acquisitions of the filtration businesses of Clario and Solventum. Their integration, debt management and replacement of lost revenue are said to be linked to the current positive factors.
Current earnings are approximately $7 billion, and analysts expect earnings to increase to $9.9 billion by 2029, with revenue expected to reach $54.8 billion that year. Annual revenue growth is therefore projected at approximately 5.8%.
Some analysts regard the sale of the microbiology business as a long-term headwind and are watching how the guidance changes relative to the previous, lower forecasts of approximately $54.8 billion in revenue and $8.9 billion in earnings by 2029.
