Seven Bank reported ordinary profit of ¥10.8 billion for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, up 63.6% year on year, and revised its full-year forecast. The company began accelerating ATM installations at FamilyMart in June and aims to deploy approximately 16,000 units by 2030.
Seven Bank released its consolidated results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, reporting ordinary profit of ¥10.8 billion, a substantial increase of 63.6% year on year. The company achieved higher revenue and profit even excluding the impact of lower depreciation expenses, and revised its full-year ordinary profit forecast upward to ¥33.5 billion. CFO Shimizu (清水) described the results as a “turning point toward higher revenue and profit” and praised the recovery in the company’s current earnings power.
In the domestic ATM business, total transaction volume exceeded the previous year’s level, and ATM installations at FamilyMart began in June. The company plans to open 37 units by the end of July and deploy approximately 16,000 units over four years, with a full-scale expansion of installations expected from the beginning of next year. ATM fee revenue per transaction was slightly below plan, but growth in transaction volume is driving the business.
The overseas business performed well in the United States, with both ordinary revenue and profit increasing. Indonesia continued to struggle as usage declined year on year, while the Philippines showed signs of stabilisation. Malaysia increased its number of ATMs at period-end, indicating signs of recovery across the overseas business as a whole. Against this backdrop, new connections and the transfer of operations are being considered as local initiatives.
