ナレッジワーク announced that its AI research and development initiative had been selected for AWS's global AWS Startups Custom-Model Inference Fellowship program. Following an open call in the Asia-Pacific region, 4 companies, including Japanese companies, were selected, and ナレッジワーク will receive support focused on inference for specialized models serving the financial industry.
The invitation-only program is intended for startups with self-hosted inference workloads. Over 12 weeks, selected companies will work with AWS inference specialists to optimize their inference stacks in their own environments.
ナレッジワーク's AI research and development organization brings together people from leading companies in Japan and overseas, PhD holders and members from AI startups. It conducts research and development mainly in speech and natural language processing, and is also developing industry-specific LLMs for sales operations.
CAIO Yamazaki Hazumu (山崎はずむ) commented that the company is working to build a highly reliable inference platform with the stability and availability required for financial institutions' operations.
