Drugstore operator カワチ薬品 is working with Tochigi Prefecture and Otsuka Pharmaceutical to run the “Tochimaru Health Points Autumn Health Promotion Campaign,” a prefectural health points program. The campaign runs from the 10th through 11 November, with the aim of supporting residents’ efforts to improve their health.
Participants walk the “Toke-po Road” walking course in the prefecture and scan QR codes installed along the route to collect stamps. Each stamp can be exchanged for a coupon, which can then be redeemed at カワチ薬品 stores for an Otsuka Pharmaceutical BODY MAINTENANCE drink.
A total of 2,000 drinks are scheduled to be distributed, and each person can redeem them up to 4 times. Tochimaru Health Points is a prefectural health promotion program that uses a smartphone app to award points based on the number of steps taken and the amount of exercise. カワチ薬品 is supporting wider use of the program through its collaboration with the prefecture and Otsuka Pharmaceutical.
The campaign will be held at 82 stores in the prefecture and has been reported as an initiative to promote better health through in-store collection and use of the points program.
