Koito Manufacturing raised its full-year net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 from ¥39.5 billion to ¥43 billion. Increased new orders in the first half and streamlining efforts at various locations contributed to the result, and the full-year dividend forecast was also raised to ¥64 per share.
Consolidated net profit for April–September 2026 rose 89.0% year on year to ¥22.382 billion, substantially exceeding the previous forecast.
The full-year forecasts are ¥43 billion for consolidated net profit, ¥61 billion for operating profit and ¥64 per share for the dividend.
The main reasons for the upward revision to the current-year forecasts were increased new orders and streamlining, which led revenue and profit to exceed expectations.
For the second half, however, the company has incorporated a cautious outlook relative to its initial plan, taking into account geopolitical risks such as the situation in the Middle East and economic trends in various countries.
