Yamato Transport signed a basic agreement with Vietnam's Masterise and began studying the development of a high-value-added logistics hub centered on Gia Binh International Airport. The companies will establish a joint working group to advance discussions on future topics.
On 8 October, Yamato Transport signed a basic agreement with Vietnam-based Masterise Aviation Infrastructure Joint Stock Company (Masterise) titled the "Basic Agreement for the Development of an Advanced Logistics Hub at Gia Binh International Airport." Based on the agreement, the two companies will begin studying the commercial viability of developing a high-value-added logistics hub and network centered on Gia Binh Airport.
The companies will establish a joint working group under the basic agreement and proceed with discussions and studies. Specifically, they plan to study high-quality, high-security logistics functions; create comprehensive logistics solutions combining a broad-area network with air transport; and develop a sustainable business base for the airport and surrounding areas.
The topics under consideration include developing logistics facilities and operating structures that contribute to the growth of Vietnam's domestic industries; optimizing supply chains throughout the region, including neighboring countries, with Gia Binh Airport as the hub; and developing business foundations such as life-support services that contribute to the sustainable growth and circulation of the entire regional community.
