PR TIMES announced its financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2027. Revenue increased, but operating profit declined, and the company revised down its full-year forecast due to the discontinuation of the Jooto business and weak performance at NAVICUS.
For the second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2027, PR TIMES posted revenue of ¥5.049 billion, up 8.0% year on year, and operating profit of ¥1.751 billion, down 7.4%. EBITDA was ¥1.974 billion, down 3.4%, resulting in higher revenue but lower profit. Standalone revenue for the second quarter reached a record ¥2.521 billion.
The full-year revenue forecast was revised down to ¥10.319 billion. The company cited its decision to withdraw from the Jooto business and revenue from some services, including NAVICUS, falling below plan. Forecasts for EBITDA and operating profit were left unchanged, with the company expecting a review of expenses to offset the impact on profit.
PR TIMES, the core business, had 133,784 client companies, while cumulative distributions surpassed 3 million. The number of companies subscribing to term-based plans reached 3,676, and the business continued to expand in scale.
The medium-term plan Road to Milestone2030, which targets FY2030, calls for operating profit of ¥7 billion and EBITDA of ¥7.7 billion. Capital and personnel freed up by the withdrawal from Jooto will be reallocated to growth areas. The company has set an M&A and strategic investment budget of ¥4.5 billion and plans in principle to return at least half of the unused amount to shareholders as special dividends.
