あらた, a household goods and cosmetics wholesaler, completed the dedicated facility for its New Kansai Center on 28 October. The center will serve as one of the largest distribution hubs in the Kansai region.
The facility is located in "Marq Osaka 4," a build-to-suit logistics facility developed by Japan GLP. It has 4 above-ground floors and a total floor area of 28,612 sq m. The robots and material-handling equipment installed at the facility are expected to reduce waiting times for cargo and improve the efficiency of loading, unloading and sorting operations.
The site is approximately 6 km from the Matsubara Junction on the Kinki Expressway and approximately 12 km from the Nanko-minami Interchange on the Hanshin Expressway Bayshore Route. It is also within 20 to 30 minutes of major interchanges serving the wider Kansai region and central Osaka, and is expected to function as a broad-area distribution hub for Kansai as well as Wakayama and Nara.
