Japan Exchange Group raised its consolidated net income forecast under IFRS for the fiscal year ending March 2027 from ¥98.5 billion to ¥105 billion, representing expected growth of approximately 32.7% year on year.
In light of stock market conditions, the company said the main reason for the revision was the ¥800 billion increase in its forecast for average daily trading value of stocks and other securities, to ¥11 trillion from its previous forecast.
The operating income forecast was also raised from ¥145.5 billion to ¥154.5 billion, while the annual dividend forecast was raised from ¥77 to ¥82 per share. The company said these revisions reflected improved market liquidity.
Other assumptions were revised to average daily trading volumes of 52,000 long-term government bond futures units and 88,000 TOPIX futures units, and ¥38.5 billion in Nikkei 225 options trading. By contrast, Nikkei 225 futures trading was reduced to 133,000 units.
