Nishi-Tokyo City's Environmental Festival will be held alongside the Citizens' Festival, providing information about the global environment through hands-on experiences and workshops.
This year's Nishi-Tokyo City Environmental Festival will again be held alongside the Citizens' Festival, as it was last year. As part of efforts toward becoming a zero-carbon city by 2050, the festival aims to raise public awareness of the global environment.
The event will be held inside the Ball Court at Nishi-Tokyo Ikoi no Mori Park. It will feature hands-on activity areas and workshops, with exhibitors including the Environmental Policy Division, the Resource Circulation Promotion Division and private organizations.
Visitors who answer a quiz will receive an umbrella marker on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will also feature eco-friendly craft activities, board games, storytelling sessions and environment-related workshops.
The workshops will introduce activities related to environmental conservation and resource circulation, including an adoption event and card-making activity by the Community Cats Association, as well as the recycling of ceramics and the reuse of unwanted items.
