アズマハウス, which is strengthening its rental business from its base in Wakayama City, has announced plans to continue adding rental housing to its company-owned property portfolio. The company currently owns 2,300 properties and intends to make its rental business the core of its business model.
Revenue for the fiscal year ending March 2026 was ¥11.622 billion. By revenue composition, the construction business accounts for approximately half and the real estate business for slightly more than 30%. Ordinary profit was ¥917 million, with the construction business accounting for slightly more than 10% and the real estate business for slightly more than 80%. Profitability in the detached-home segment of the construction business remains an issue.
In 2020, the company acquired the アイワグループ, which included 賃貸住宅センター, the largest rental property management company in Wakayama Prefecture. Its managed portfolio now comprises 14,912 units, and it has handled 3,181 rental brokerage transactions. The company expects rental income to continue growing as it acquires more company-owned properties.
Rent received from company-owned properties accounts for slightly more than 60% of revenue in the real estate business. The company also leases land, including sites in Wakayama City to a broad range of tenants such as drugstores, supermarkets and care facilities.
