In earnings announced on 6 August, GOLDWIN revised its ordinary profit forecast for the April-September first half downward by 23.9%, from ¥9.2 billion to ¥7.0 billion, resulting in an expected 23.0% decline in profit. Ordinary profit in the first quarter also deteriorated sharply year on year.
GOLDWIN cut its first-half ordinary profit forecast from the previous forecast of ¥9.2 billion to ¥7.0 billion, changing it to a forecast for a 23.0% year-on-year decline. The full-year ordinary profit forecast was left unchanged at ¥34.1 billion.
In the cumulative first-quarter results, revenue declined year on year, while the operating margin on sales for the latest 3 months fell sharply from 8.7% to 1.6%. According to the earnings report, this reflected the backlash from shipments being brought forward in the domestic wholesale segment and unseasonable weather in June.
