VADE HOTEL SHIBUYA has opened in Shibuya's Maruyamacho as the first location under the new VADE brand, beginning operations as an apartment-style hotel capable of accommodating stays for 4 or more guests in every room. Takamatsu Construction handled the design and construction, while joint development is being carried out by 4 companies: JR West Properties, LA Holdings subsidiary La Atre, and matsuri technologies.
The property comprises 74 rooms and caters to demand from groups and families. Each room has a layout for 4 guests and a dining area, and is fully equipped with a kitchen and cooking utensils, making it suitable for extended stays. Plans have also been reported for a food-and-beverage outlet on the first floor that will cater to preferences including halal and vegan requirements.
In terms of operational expertise, matsuri technologies President Yoshida Keita (吉田 圭汰) explained that the company has operational experience covering more than 4,000 units, one of the largest such track records in Japan. This has established a system for supporting guests 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are also plans to open the second CHICAMA location on the first floor.
The companies stated that they will accumulate expertise in the physical development of the property through this opening and apply it to future development projects.
